After a first meeting in March 2024, Childress returned to conduct the Cleveland Orchestra for a concert at the Blossom Festival.
The programme included Britten’s Simple Symphony and Mendelssohn’s Symphony no. 3 ‘Scottish’. This also marked her first collaboration with cellist Sheku Kanneh-Mason for a stirring rendition of Saint-Saens’s Cello Concerto no. 2.
